DIY Corkboard Tutorial

Our home office is also what I like to call "the dumping room"....everything that has
no where else to go
lands in this room.

Which means it's really hard to stay organized! So I thought having a bulletin board on the wall above the computer would be perfect for keeping track of important papers that need prompt attention (wedding response cards, water bill, blog to-do's...)

But have ya seen the price of a good size bulletin board lately??
**Shocker**

This is my compromise...and I must say I love them!

Here's what you'll need:

12 x 12 Corkboard: I found mine in a 4 pack at Michael's for $12.99.

12 x 12 Scrapbook paper,
20-24" ribbon (your choice of width and color), decorative tacks

First, center your paper on the cork-board....

and attach the bottom 2 corners of the scrapbook paper to the
cork-board using the decorative tacks.

Next, line up one end of your ribbon underneath the top left corner of your scrapbook paper.
(the ribbon should be about 1" under the paper)

Now push one of the decorative tacks through both the
paper and ribbon into the cork-board.

Repeat on the opposite side, adjusting the length of your ribbon, depending upon how far down you'd like your finished cork-board to hang.

Make as many decorative cork-boards as you like, then hang them up using nails or thumb tacks.

Easy-peasy! So cute and so functional too**
